Kimberly Milaney, PMHNP-BC, APRN, MSN, believes in treating the whole individual with empathy, active listening, respect and transparency. Her experience includes treating the lifespan from children to geriatric adults in various settings from outpatient clinics to inpatient hospitalizations and residential settings.
She specialize in depression, trauma, anxiety, ADHD and psychosis.

I offer expertise in medication management for chronic and acute mental illness. Initially, we complete a thorough evaluation by obtaining a comprehensive history toward discovering the problem in order to find the best treatment. I work closely with my patients treating the whole person to individualize treatment plans that meet their needs.
I practice active listening with empathy to place myself in others' positions to better understand and learn about one's problems and needs. Employing an open and non-judgmental attitude combined with a holistic approach help to build trust so that one can receive the best treatment toward improvement to optimize one's life and thrive.

Kimberly Milaney has been a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner since 2014 through the ANCC.
She graduated from the University of St. Joseph in West Hartford, CT with a post-masters in APRN psychiatry in 2014 and from UConn in 2011 with a masters in nursing science. She completed her BSN in 2009, also at UConn.
Kimberly believes continuing education is so important not only to maintain her board certification but also to learn about the newest and most current treatment modalities and medications to provide optimal treatment based in the highest practice standards.
